“Phil Neville Speaks Out After Inter Miami Manager Sacking”

Date:

Following his dismissal as manager of Inter Miami, Phil Neville has broken his silence and expressed his gratitude to David Beckham and the other owners of the club for giving him the opportunity to manage the MLS side. Neville, a former Manchester United and Everton star, had been in charge of Beckham’s team since 2021 but was relieved of his duties after a 1-0 loss to New York Red Bulls left Miami at the bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference. Despite being close with the owners, Neville’s departure was triggered by Beckham. In a message on Instagram, Neville thanked everyone involved with Inter Miami CF, including the owners, staff, players, and fans. He expressed his pride in the work they had done in creating a culture of hard work and spirit and giving opportunities to young players. Miami announced Neville’s departure midway through his third season in charge with a blunt social media message on Thursday night. The team has struggled this season, picking up just five wins from 15 games in the Eastern Conference and sitting at the bottom of the table.
