Patrick Vieira will have his work cut out at the start of the new Premier League season.

The French manager enjoyed a solid first season at Selhurst Park, finishing 12th, with notable scalps that included Manchester United, Man City and Tottenham.

He also led Palace to the FA Cup semi-final, losing out to Chelsea at Wembley.

The second season is always a tough one though, and the legendary Arsenal midfielder has not been done any favours by the schedulers.

Palace kick off the new Premier League season on Friday, August 5 as Vieira faces his former side, the Gunners, at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles are given no time to settle into the new campaign as they then travel to Anfield to face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in Gameweek 2.

Their most winnable game in the first month will be against Aston Villa at Selhurst Park in Gameweek 3, but that still won’t be an easy clash.

On August 27, Palace will then travel to the Etihad to face Man City to round off a nightmare month.
