# Norway Reach Last 16 of FIFA Women’s World Cup After 6-0 Hammering of Philippines

Norway have reached the last 16 of the FIFA Women’s World Cup after a 6-0 hammering of the Philippines in their final group game. Sophie Haug starred in the victory, with Norway now looking ahead to a knockout tie against Australia.

## Norway’s Dominant Performance

Norway were in complete control from the start, with Haug opening the scoring after just three minutes. The Norwegians continued to dominate and added two more goals before half-time, with Isabell Herlovsen and Caroline Graham Hansen both finding the net.

Haug then completed her hat-trick early in the second half, before substitute Lisa-Marie Utland scored twice late on to round off a comprehensive victory. Norway finished top of Group A with seven points, one ahead of Nigeria.

## Norway Look Ahead to Australia

Norway will now face Australia in the last 16 on Saturday 22nd June. The Matildas have had an impressive tournament so far, winning all three of their group games and scoring nine goals in the process.

However, Norway will be confident of progressing to the quarter-finals after their impressive performance against the Philippines. Haug was in superb form and will be looking to continue her goalscoring form against Australia.
