Newcastle confident in £30m transfer for Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney

Date:

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney may be leaving the club this summer, with Newcastle United reportedly confident of signing him for around £30m. Despite Arsenal’s challenge for the Premier League title, Tierney has only started five league games this season, with his game-time suffering following Oleksandr Zinchenko’s move from Manchester City last summer. Newcastle have been linked with Tierney before, and it is believed that they will welcome the full-back to the club this summer. Eddie Howe, who will be keen to bolster his Newcastle squad following a brilliant season, is expected to sign a new left-back this summer as he plans for Newcastle’s potential return to the Champions League.
