Mykhailo Mudryk wages revealed as new Chelsea star set to earn less than Callum Hudson-Odoi – who is on loan at Bayer Leverkusen – and Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Chelsea are paying new signing Mykhailo Mudryk less than Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, according to reports.

The Blues beat Arsenal to the signature of the 22-year-old Ukraine international in an £88million deal with Shakhtar Donetsk.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea are paying Mudryk £97,000 per week, £10,000 more than what Arsenal were offering.

The report adds that it is still less than both Hudson-Odoi, who is on-loan with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, and midfielder Loftus-Cheek.

Hudson-Odoi is currently earning £120,000 while plying his trade in Germany, with Loftus-Cheek pocketing £150,000 per week.

Midfielder Loftus-Cheek penned a five-year deal in July 2019, but has not played since November 6 due to injury.

It has been revealed the reason behind offering Mudryk a relatively-low salary is due to a long-term strategy to bring down the wage bill under new owner Todd Boehly.

The Blues, meanwhile, are understood to be paying Raheem Sterling a staggering £250,000 along with defender Reece James.

Sterling has recently been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, despite arriving at the club in the summer in a £50m deal from Manchester City.

The 28-year-old has managed just four goals and two assists in 15 Premier League appearances.

Sterling has recently been linked with a move to Arsenal, and Gunners fan Darren Bent believes his side should explore a loan deal.

“I would take him on loan. I would take him on loan. 100%,” he told talkSPORT.
