Mykhailo Mudryk alternatives for Arsenal after Chelsea complete transfer, including Leandro Trossard, out of contract Wilfried Zaha and Hakim Ziyech

Arsenal might not have time to feel so sorry for themselves after losing Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea.

The Ukraine international looked set to join the Gunners after plenty of groundwork made by Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu Gaspar only for the Blues to steal in at the last moment.

It has left Arsenal empty-handed but with a Premier League title in the balance, now is not the time to lick their wounds, while the transfer window remains open.

There are options the north London club can turn to and talkSPORT takes you through them.

    Leandro Trossard

One player who looks certain to leave this month is Brighton star Trossard, who has had a spectacular fallout with manager Roberto De Zerbi and been banished from the first team.

With both sides not backing down, a move away suits all parties with the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea interested but Arsenal have been linked to.

There is no doubting Trossard’s talent and he has seven Premier League goals in 16 appearances this season, including a hat-trick against Liverpool but his attitude might put Arteta off.

    Michael Olise

Arteta could turn to an old Arsenal legend to help him out in the transfer window by asking Patrick Vieira for the services of Crystal Palace star Olise.

The France Under-21 player was born and raised in London despite his international allegiance and was on Arsenal’s books in 2008 before spells with Chelsea, Manchester City and Reading.

The 21-year-old has immense talent and has been earmarked as a creator from wide positions, as well as being an able No. 10, and has even been reportedly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, though his goalscoring might need to improve with just three goals across his Premier League career to date.

    Wilfried Zaha

Another potential arrival from Selhurst Park is a former target of Arsenal’s in the shape of Zaha, who is out of contract in the summer.

The Ivory Coast international – and boyhood Arsenal fan – has made no secret of his desire to join a bigger club and a free transfer to the Emirates could be a fine coup for the north London outfit.

The Gunners could do with that unpredictability in forward positions while his ability to win fouls and penalties could add another dimension to the team – though it would mean waiting until the summer when Arteta wants reinforcements now.

    Raphinha

Perhaps a bit of a stretch considering he only moved to Barcelona in the summer but the Catalan club’s monetary troubles might catch up with them at some point very soon.

It could lead to something of a fire sale at the Nou Camp with Raphinha a potential outgoing already after failing to make much of an impact in Xavi’s side so far.

The Brazilian has netted just twice in La Liga this campaign while Arsenal were in the race for the former Leeds United star last year.

    Hakim Ziyech

Arsenal might not be best pleased with Chelsea after pinching Mudryk but they could use that transfer hijacking to their advantage.

Graham Potter now has a bloated squad full of wide players and the Gunners could steal in with a lowball offer for one of them – and Ziyech could represent the best value for money.

In the summer, Chelsea were ready to listen to offers for the winger and that has only amplified after the arrival of Mudryk while the former Ajax star has proved he can be a dangerous player when he starred at the World Cup with Morocco.

Seeing such a transfer being pulled off this month would be nothing short of remarkable but stranger things have happened in the January window.
