Mohamed Salah Makes Premier League History Against Leeds, Overtaking Liverpool Legend Robbie Fowler

Date:

Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, has set a new Premier League record with his latest goal against Leeds. The Egyptian player scored the second goal for Liverpool at Elland Road, which was his 106th left-footed goal in the Premier League, surpassing Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler’s record. Salah’s left-footed strike found the top left corner of the net, beating Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier at his near post. The goal was also Salah’s 25th of the season across all competitions. Despite Liverpool’s poor overall campaign, Salah has been shining. Liverpool won the game 3-0, with Diogo Jota scoring twice and Darwin Nunez adding another goal just before stoppage time. The result gives Liverpool hope of qualifying for European football next season, although they remain nine points outside of the top four.
