Mikel Arteta’s Plan: Arsenal Star Set to Depart in Summer for New Signing
Arsenal are making plans for the summer transfer window as they hope to sign Ajax starlet Jorrel Hato. The Gunners are also expecting offers for Jakub Kiwior, who joined the club last January from Serie A side Spezia.
Kiwior, 22, was brought in to provide options at centre-half and left-back for Mikel Arteta. However, he has only started eight games in all competitions this season. Despite interest from several Serie A clubs, including AC Milan, Arsenal decided to keep him in north London during the January window.
According to the Evening Standard, Milan is among the clubs expected to revive their interest in Kiwior in the summer. They hope that Arsenal will have changed their stance by then. Meanwhile, Arsenal will focus their efforts on securing the signing of Ajax sensation Jorrel Hato to strengthen their backline.
Hato, who is just 17 years old, has been a regular in the Ajax starting XI this season. He has predominantly played at centre-half but has also filled in at left-back. Hato has even captained the Dutch giants this season, and he has only 18 months left on his current contract.
It is worth noting that Arsenal already did business with Ajax last summer when they signed Jurrien Timber. Unfortunately, Timber suffered a major knee injury on his Premier League debut. Despite the setbacks, he remains motivated and sees his recovery as an opportunity to become stronger.
In other news related to Arsenal, former footballer Stan Collymore has named an Aston Villa star who he believes would be a perfect fit for the Gunners. Additionally, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City are all tracking Girona’s Miguel Gutierrez. Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze’s injury ahead of the Chelsea clash has also been revealed.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Arsenal fans eagerly await the club’s moves in the market. Will they secure the signing of Jorrel Hato and potentially part ways with Jakub Kiwior? Only time will tell.
