“Michael Dawson urges Tottenham to invest £40m in Harry Maguire from Manchester United”

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson has called on his former club to sign Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire for £40m. Maguire, who became the world’s most expensive defender when he joined United from Leicester City for £80m in 2019, has struggled for form this season and could be set to leave Old Trafford this summer. Dawson said he would “take him at Spurs tomorrow” and predicted that other big clubs would also be interested in signing him. However, former Arsenal and England winger Paul Merson said it would be hard for Maguire to leave United, which he described as “the biggest club in the world”.
