I think in the last 10, 12, 15 years, Chelsea is the greatest team in England and we know that very well. I think our fans are so excited to be on the road of trying to win again and of course for us to feel exited to work with a very young team, a different approach in than in the past.”
Pochettino has inherited a young squad and he is looking forward to helping them reach their potential. He said: “I think this is really exciting for us because we love good players, we love players with the capacity and the talent, but also we want people that want to be with us, that want to be at this club and be really open to help the club achieve what we want. From the beginning the owners and the sporting directors also, they were very clear about the project and we were very excited also to join them in this project.”
The Argentine is determined to bring success back to Stamford Bridge and he is confident that his style of play will help him achieve this. He said: “We want to bring the happiness again to this great football club. Working hard, playing in the way that the fans can enjoy football. The history of Chelsea football club is to win, but it’s important also in the way that we are going to build those victories.”
