Mauricio Pochettino is eager to work with Mason Mount at Chelsea and will ask the club to restart negotiations with the midfielder and his team as soon as his own appointment is confirmed. However, Mount’s future remains in doubt as no new deal has been agreed yet and if no agreement is met, Chelsea will sell their academy graduate rather than risk losing him on a free transfer at the end of next season. Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are among the clubs interested in the 24-year-old with Arsenal also recently emerging as a shock destination.
Chelsea are set to cash in on a number of their former academy players this summer with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah and Callum Hudson-Odoi all being made available. Levi Colwill, currently on loan at Brighton has attracted interest from a number of Premier League sides but reports suggest he will be part of the Chelsea first-team squad next season. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly will also be made available while the club could also cash in on Mateo Kovacic. Both Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in signing the 29-year-old this summer with Thomas Tuchel also keen on a reunion at Bayern Munich.
