Rashford is hoping to impress new boss Erik ten Hag ahead of new contract talks.

Having begun last season with a shoulder injury, the local lad only started 13 Premier League games.

The attacker finished with just four goals and two assists and was on the fringe of Rangnick’s squad.

The Red Devil’s struggles as a team – finishing sixth in the Premier League – did not help his cause either.
