Manchester United do not want to sell Marcus Rashford this summer and value him at ‘in excess of £120m’ in the transfer market, with Paris Saint-Germain interested in the forward.

PSG have been in contact with Rashford’s representatives over a possible move as they look to add him to their immense options up front, which include Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

The 24-year-old is not thought to be pushing for a move, nor do the Red Devils want to sell the England international, despite his struggles over the last year.

Rashford scored just four league goals last season, down from 11 the campaign before, and continued to look far from his best against Brighton last weekend when he missed a golden opportunity in the second half.

PSG are looking to capitalise on his struggles at United and give him a new start in Ligue 1, but the Red Devils are not interested in selling, certainly not at the valuation that the French club have for Rashford.

ESPN report that PSG would be willing to bid around £60m for the striker, but United value him at more than double that price, at least £120m.

Even the super rich Parisians are very unlikely to pay that kind of price for a player who has struggled for any kind of form over the last year.

The valuation not only seems astronomical due to Rashford’s performances on the pitch, but also because he is into the final year on his current contract.

Manchester United have the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months, and are keen for him to sign a new contract beyond 2024.
