Manchester United’s rapid turnaround is clear to see as the club landed two nominations for September’s Premier League awards.
The Red Devils made a horrendous start to life under Erik ten Hag, losing their opening two top-flight matches, including a 4-0 hammering at Brentford.
Ten Hag has rejuvenated a number of misfiring players, including England duo Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.
And the change of fortune at Old Trafford was illustrated as Ten Hag and Rashford earned nominations for this month’s Premier League gongs.
Rashford has three goals and two assists in six league matches, having struggled desperately during the 2021/22 campaign.
He is up against Bournemouth’s Philip Billing, Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Everton’s Alex Iwobi, Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag faces competition from Tottenham boss Antonio Conte and Bournemouth interim manager Gary O’Neil.
