“Manchester United Likely to Lose Harry Kane”

Manchester United’s pursuit of Harry Kane may be in jeopardy as the club is increasingly concerned that they will not be able to sign the Tottenham striker this summer. Erik ten Hag, United’s top priority this summer, has identified Kane as his number one choice for a new striker. Despite Tottenham’s poor season, Kane has remained in top form, scoring 30 goals in 38 Premier League games and becoming both Tottenham and England’s all-time top goalscorer earlier this year. However, Kane’s contract is up in 2024 and reports suggest he is keen to leave his boyhood club in pursuit of his first major trophy. While United, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich are all interested in his services, Kane would prefer to stay in England to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League goals record. The major obstacle blocking a move to Old Trafford is Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who is determined to keep his talisman in north London and will not entertain the idea of selling him to a direct rival. As a result, United is considering alternatives, including Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund. However, Ten Hag’s preference is to bring in a younger striker like Hojlund alongside a more experienced name like Kane. Meanwhile, United is having slightly better luck in their pursuit of a new attacking midfielder, with personal terms agreed with Mason Mount but no agreement on price with Chelsea yet.
