“Manchester City’s Ederson Targeted by Al-Ittihad in £25m Move, Manchester United in Talks with Thomas Frank and Mauricio Pochettino”

Date:

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is reportedly a target for Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Pro League club. The club is willing to offer an initial £25m for the 30-year-old Brazilian international. This news comes amidst speculation that Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, will be leaving the club when his current contract expires next summer.

In the meantime, Manchester United has been busy speaking to the representatives of two potential managers. They have held talks with Brentford manager Thomas Frank and former Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino. There are also rumors that current Ajax manager Erik ten Hag is at risk of being sacked.

Frank has reportedly had meetings with Chelsea as they search for a new manager after parting ways with Pochettino. Other names on Chelsea’s list include former Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi, Leicester City’s Enzo Maresca, and Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna.

Speaking of Leicester City, Maresca has rejected an approach from Sevilla as he wants to stay in the Premier League. He is now waiting for a response from Chelsea after recent talks with the club.

Manchester United is planning to secure England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo on an improved contract but will wait until after the summer transfer window closes to finalize the deal.

Aston Villa, on the other hand, has agreed to a two-year deal with English midfielder Ross Barkley. The 30-year-old has the option for a further year and can leave Luton Town following their relegation from the Premier League.

Morocco midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has expressed his intention to speak to Manchester United regarding his future. The Old Trafford club currently has an option to turn his loan from Fiorentina into a permanent transfer.

Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is expected to leave the club in search of more first-team football opportunities.

Fulham has made an 8 million euro bid for Stuttgart and Congo forward Silas, as negotiations between the two clubs continue.

Bayer Leverkusen, the German champions, are close to signing Spanish midfielder Aleix Garcia from Girona for a fee of approximately 15-20 million euros.

In terms of managerial changes, Burnley is considering potential replacements for manager Vincent Kompany, who is rumored to be joining Bayern Munich. Former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and ex-Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper are among the candidates.

Lastly, Norwich City is expected to make a formal approach for FC Nordsjaelland manager Johannes Hoff Thorup to fill their head coach position.

Overall, it seems that there is a lot of movement and speculation surrounding managers and players in the world of football. With the transfer window open and contracts expiring, clubs are actively seeking new talent and making plans for the future. It will be interesting to see how these potential deals unfold and how they will impact the upcoming seasons.
