Manchester United are determined to offload Jadon Sancho in January with Erik ten Hag viewing the winger as a disruptive influence on the rest of his squad. Sancho was dropped from the squad ahead of the September defeat to Arsenal due to his poor attitude and application in training.

Ten Hag feels the general attitude of the rest of his squad has improved during Sancho’s absence, epitomised by Saturday’s dramatic fightback against Brentford.
United are willing to subsidise Sancho’s salary to help move him on. The 23-year-old is thought to be on a deal worth £300,000-a-week if Sancho accepts a loan move away when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Potential suitors for Sancho
Borussia Dortmund are thought to be interested in re-signing Sancho while Juventus are also interested in his services. United value him at £60million but it is thought neither club will be prepared to meet that valuation in January.
United signed Sancho from Dortmund for £73m in the summer of 2021.

Former United striker Dimitar Berbatov recently hit out at Sancho for his conduct, insisting he ‘overestimated his own value’ in taking on the manager. ‘Sometimes a player, and I hope this isn’t the case for Sancho, who takes this long to resolve conflict has overestimated his own value to the club,’ Berbatov said.
‘When it’s Ronaldo, for example, it’s different as he’s achieved everything. I was at the club when Wayne Rooney had a fall out with the manager, and they sorted things out. I think Sancho is overestimating his importance. He’s not won that many trophies with them. It’s a different situation.
‘United can easily decide to get rid of Sancho over this. As talented as he is, and we all saw it at Dortmund, he has yet to show any of this at United.’
