Man Utd Beat Brighton in FA Cup Penalty Shootout

Date:

Manchester United have reached the FA Cup final for the first time since 2016 after a tense penalty shootout victory over Brighton at Wembley Stadium. After a goalless draw in the semi-final, United won the shootout 14-12 to set up a final against Manchester City.

The match was a tight affair with both sides creating chances but neither able to find the breakthrough. The game went to penalties and it was United who eventually prevailed, with goalkeeper David de Gea saving two of Brighton’s efforts.

United will now face their local rivals in the final, with the two sides having met in the Premier League earlier this season. The game will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website and app, with coverage available to UK users only.
