# Manchester United Transfer Targets
## Luke Shaw Confident Signing England Teammates Would Elevate United
Manchester United have long-standing interest in both Declan Rice and Harry Kane, whose futures at West Ham United and Tottenham remain under intense scrutiny. Erik ten Hag is also eager to sign Mason Mount with Chelsea rejecting a £40million offer last week while United have also been credited with interest in Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Luke Shaw, United’s left-back, teased fans by giving Kane and Rice a tour of United’s Carrington training base where England have been gearing up for Monday’s European Championship qualifier against North Macedonia at Old Trafford. Shaw admitted he has been urging some of the club’s targets to consider joining him in Manchester this summer.
‘Because of the timing of the season and what’s going on, there is a lot of talk,’ Shaw said. ‘I can’t lie, I’d love a few of them to come to United, I’m not going to lie. I am speaking to them telling them how good Manchester is, because I know their qualities. They’re world-class players and they’d add massive strength to us. But of course, I can only say so much, it’s down to the club and what they decide.’
## United in a Losing Battle to Sign Rice
United are in a losing battle to sign Rice with Arsenal the favourites to land the West Ham skipper. Tottenham’s huge valuation of Kane meanwhile has led to ten Hag’s side shelving their interest this summer. A second bid for Mount is expected to be made this week with United willing to increase their offer to £50million. Chelsea however value the midfielder at £70million, a price United are not willing to pay.
## Conclusion
Shaw is confident that signing some of his England teammates would elevate Manchester United and help them achieve their goals. However, it remains to be seen if the club will be able to sign any of their top transfer targets this summer.
