Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez Returns to Carrington for Injury Recovery
Manchester United player Lisandro Martinez has returned to Carrington to continue his recovery from a foot injury. The Argentine missed the end of last season due to a metatarsal injury but was able to participate in pre-season. However, Martinez struggled for form at the start of this campaign and felt hindered by the injury. Seeking advice from a specialist, he decided to undergo surgery for a second time to address the lingering issues. After spending part of his recovery in Argentina, Martinez has now returned to Carrington to further his rehabilitation on an individual basis.
While Martinez is still some way off from a full return, Manchester United expects him to regain full fitness after Christmas. His presence at Carrington will be a boost for manager Erik ten Hag, who recently welcomed Luke Shaw back to full training after a two-month absence. Shaw could potentially be included in Sunday’s squad to face Everton.
