Yorke stated that the United team of 1999 was more physical and had better players, including Paul Scholes and Roy Keane. He also mentioned that no defender on the planet would want to face Ryan Giggs at his very best, and that David Beckham’s delivery of a ball was exceptional. Yorke acknowledged that Haaland is unique, but he wouldn’t swap him for what they had. He added that Jaap Stam could handle Haaland, and behind him, they had the best goalkeeper in the world at the time in Peter Schmeichel. Yorke admired Manchester City’s team and wished them the best, but he believes that they will always be the first English team to create history with the Treble.
