Man City’s Biggest Rival Next Season: Arsenal Snubbed by Glen Johnson

Date:

Former England defender Glen Johnson has named Manchester City’s closest rival for the Premier League title next season, snubbing Arsenal and Manchester United in the process. Johnson believes that Chelsea, who endured a miserable previous campaign, finishing 12th, will be the ‘surprise package’ under new manager Mauricio Pochettino. He stated that although Liverpool are likely to improve, there is a big gap between City and everyone else.

Meanwhile, former Premier League defender Jonathan Woodgate believes there is still room for improvement for Manchester City and says they could win the quadruple next season. Woodgate said that every player in the squad will be thinking about how they can get better and will be aiming to win four trophies.
