Man City Wins Premier League Title After Arsenal Loss

Arsenal’s dismal form continued at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest, with the Gunners unable to find a way past the home side. Mikel Arteta was forced to make changes to his team due to mounting injury problems, and Forest took advantage of this in the 19th minute when Mogan Gibbs-White pounced on a stray pass from Martin Odegaard. Gibbs-White sprinted towards the penalty area and the ball bounced off the boot of Taiwo Awoniyi and into the net. Arteta made further changes in the second period, but these had little effect as Forest defended well in a low block. Gibbs-White could have doubled the lead but his shot went into the side-netting and Renan Lodi also fired wide from distance. Forest held on for the victory, while Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions as Arsenal’s poor form continued. Tony Adams has since slammed Arteta’s team selection against Nottingham Forest, while Chelsea target Gift Orban has ruled out an Arsenal transfer and aimed a brutal dig at Mikel Arteta’s side.
