# A Tour of Luton Town’s Kenilworth Road Stadium with Carlton Morris

Luton Town striker Carlton Morris recently took Football Focus reporter Liam Loftus on a guided tour of the Hatters’ Kenilworth Road stadium, affectionately known as “The Kenny”. The tour was filmed and will be aired on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday 23 September at 12:00 BST.

## A Look at the History of Kenilworth Road

Kenilworth Road has been the home of Luton Town Football Club since 1905. The stadium has seen many changes over the years, including the addition of a new stand in the early 2000s. The stadium has a capacity of 10,356 and is one of the oldest stadiums in England.

The stadium has hosted some of the biggest names in football, including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal. It has also been the site of some of the most memorable moments in Luton Town’s history, including their victory over Arsenal in the League Cup in 1988.

## A Tour with Carlton Morris

Morris took Loftus on a tour of the stadium, showing him the dressing rooms, the tunnel, and the pitch. He also shared some of his memories of playing at Kenilworth Road, including his first goal for Luton Town.

Morris said: “It’s a special place for me. I’ve been here since I was a kid and it’s been great to be part of the team here. It’s a great feeling to be able to play in front of our fans and to be able to score goals here.”

## The Future of Kenilworth Road

Luton Town are currently in the process of redeveloping the stadium. The plans include a new stand, which will increase the capacity to 12,000. The club are also looking to improve the facilities for fans, with new bars and restaurants being built.

The redevelopment is part of the club’s long-term plan to become an established Premier League team. As Morris said: “We want to be a Premier League team and this is a big step towards that. We want to make sure that our fans have the best experience possible when they come to watch us play.”
