Luis Enrique, the former manager of Barcelona, has expressed his interest in managing in the Premier League, but has said that a move to Tottenham Hotspur may be too soon for him. The Spanish coach has been out of work since the World Cup, having parted ways with Spain after an early exit from the tournament. Despite being interested in a move to England, Enrique has said that he does not see himself in the Premier League in July and would only go to a team there that can do important things. He has had offers from national teams but not from clubs, and it would have to be a very important team for him to take the job.

Enrique is believed to be in the running to replace Antonio Conte at Spurs, along with Julian Nagelsmann, Roberto De Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino. However, he has said that he would not go to any Premier League team and that it would be very difficult for him to face Spain. He does not know if he would be ready for such a challenge.

The 52-year-old coach has been enjoying his time off from football, recently competing in a gruelling 700km bike race. He keeps fans updated on his progress via social media, but revealed that he won’t read the Spanish press, only that from England. He believes that you can’t pretend or like everyone or control what they say about you, and that the important thing is to be calm and enjoy the things you like.

Discussing his stint as Spain boss, Enrique added that he knows that the vermin and the vultures have been taking advantage of their second glory. He is very satisfied with his coaching stint, despite making mistakes. Decisions have to be made and it is what his staff and he did.

Enrique’s comments come as Spurs continue their search for a new manager after sacking Jose Mourinho in April. The club has been linked with a number of high-profile coaches, including Enrique, but it remains to be seen who will take the job.

In the meantime, Spurs fans will be eagerly anticipating the start of the new Premier League season, which is set to kick off on August 13th. The club will be hoping to improve on their seventh-place finish last season and challenge for a top-four spot. With a new manager at the helm, there is plenty of optimism around the club and fans will be hoping that Enrique or another top-class coach can help take them to the next level.
