Louis Saha is not convinced that James Maddison would be a regular starter at Manchester United if he were to make the move to Old Trafford this summer. Maddison is entering the final year of his contract with Leicester City and is being heavily linked with a move to United, as well as Newcastle United and Tottenham. Recent reports suggest that United have entered the race for the 26-year-old, with Leicester believed to be seeking between £46million and £60million for their prized asset.
Saha believes that Maddison has the right personality to thrive at United, but is not sure he would be a regular starter in the side. United have made signing a new centre forward a top priority for the summer transfer window, with Harry Kane their leading target, while Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani are also thought to be options under consideration. Ten Hag is also eager to bring in another midfielder.
