Andy Robertson Nearing Return from Shoulder Injury
Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson is making significant progress in his recovery from a long-term shoulder injury and is expected to make his comeback in the New Year. Robertson has been sidelined since mid-October after dislocating his shoulder while playing for Scotland against Spain. The 29-year-old underwent surgery to repair the injury and has missed 12 games so far.
Rehabilitation Progress
According to reports, Robertson is on schedule to return next month. He has already resumed running outdoors at the AXA Training Centre and is making daily progress in his recovery. His rehabilitation work includes a combination of treatment and strength exercises for his injured shoulder.
However, Robertson is not yet involved in contact training, and his full return to training will depend on the strength of his repaired shoulder. It is likely that Liverpool will not risk him until after the winter break, considering the upcoming fixtures in December and early January.
Liverpool’s Injury Boosts
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recently received a major injury boost with the return of goalkeeper Alisson. Additionally, Alexis Mac Allister, who missed the game against Crystal Palace due to a knee problem, is expected to make a quick recovery. Diogo Jota is also stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury.
However, Joel Matip will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing ACL surgery, and caution is being taken with Thiago (hip) and Stefan Bajcetic (calf).
Overall, Liverpool fans can look forward to Andy Robertson’s return in the New Year, which will strengthen their defensive lineup and provide a boost to the team’s performance.
