Liverpool Football Club’s new away kit for the 2024/25 season has been unofficially revealed by player Dominik Szoboszlai at an event in the US. At the ‘LFC at The Fillmore’ event in Philadelphia, Szoboszlai, along with teammates Owen Beck and Jarell Quansah, participated in a special Q&A session. While Beck and Quansah were dressed in official LFC polo shirts, Szoboszlai was seen wearing a black top under his club-branded hoody.
During the Q&A, someone from the audience asked Szoboszlai if he was wearing Liverpool’s new away shirt. In response, he unzipped his hoody, revealing the new black and teal design for the 2024/25 season. Szoboszlai confirmed that it was indeed the new kit and expressed his amusement at the keen observation of the audience member. This unofficial unveiling comes ahead of the official launch of the away kit.
While the away kit has not been officially unveiled, reports suggest that Liverpool will wear it for the final friendly of their US tour against Manchester United on August 4. The official colorway of the kit is said to be night forest, anthracite, washed teal, and sail. This translates to various shades of black and grey, with teal and off-white details. The crew-neck collar of the shirt is dark grey, with teal accents on the cuffs and around the shoulders. The LFC badge, Nike swoosh, and sponsor logos for Standard Chartered and Expedia are in an off-white color.
Liverpool has already showcased their new home kit for the 2024/25 season in three matches. They wore it against Wolves on the final day of last season and in warm-up friendlies against Preston and Real Betis this summer. Following a 1-0 victory over Real Betis in their first official pre-season friendly, they will face Arsenal in Philadelphia and Manchester United in Columbia to conclude their US tour. Once the tour is over, Liverpool is expected to play Las Palmas in a behind-closed-doors friendly on August 10 before hosting Sevilla at Anfield on August 11.
The unofficial unveiling of Liverpool’s new away kit by Dominik Szoboszlai has created excitement among fans, who eagerly await the official launch. The black and teal design, with its dark grey collar and teal accents, adds a fresh and modern look to the team’s kit collection. As Liverpool prepares for the upcoming season, the new kits serve as a symbol of their ambition and style on the pitch.
