On Wednesday night, Liverpool will travel to the London Stadium to face West Ham, a team that was one of only two sides to get the better of them in the Premier League last season. The Reds will be looking to avenge the 3-2 defeat they suffered at the hands of the Hammers in November 2021, and will draw on their 1-0 home win back in October.
Jurgen Klopp held a press conference on Tuesday morning to preview the match and provide updates on the fitness of his players. Unfortunately, Roberto Firmino will be out for at least the next two fixtures due to a muscle injury, while Naby Keita could take part in “partial training” on Tuesday. Ibrahima Konate is likely available, but Klopp and his staff will need to assess his fitness. Calvin Ramsay and Stefan Bajcetic are both out for the rest of the season.
Liverpool’s available squad for the match includes goalkeepers Alisson, Adrian, and Kelleher; defenders Gomez, Van Dijk, Konate, Matip, Williams, Phillips, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, and Tsimikas; midfielders Fabinho, Thiago, Milner, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Elliott, and Arthur; and forwards Salah, Gakpo, Jota, Nunez, Diaz, and Carvalho. With four home games and three away trips remaining in the season, Liverpool will be hoping to secure as many points as possible in order to finish the season strongly and earn a European spot.
