    However, the Blues did get back to winning ways against Crystal Palace at the weekend thanks to Kai Havertz’s second-half winner. 

    At the halfway point of the season, the two giants are sitting in midtable and this game could have a huge impact on the trajectory of the remainder of their campaigns.

    New Chelsea signing Mykhailo Mudryk could make his first appearance in a Blues shirt after signing for £88million this week. 

    Spaces are available in the front line for Potter’s side as Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic remain out injured.

    They will also still be without Joao Felix as he misses the second game of his three-match suspension for receiving a straight red card on his debut.

    Chelsea boss Potter gave his thoughts on the signing of Mudryk after the Blues announced the signing during their win against Crystal Palace

    “He’s a young player with a big future,” Potter said.

    “He has exciting quality in the final third, very fast and direct, attacks the backline, can go in wide areas but also affects the goal. 

    “He’s a really exciting player and I think our supporters will like him.”
