Liverpool Squad Numbers for Next Season: Who Will Fill the Vacant Slots? Liverpool is gearing up for a new season with a new manager and potential new signings. But with limited squad numbers available, who will claim the empty spots? Discover which numbers are up for grabs and who could fill them in this article.

Liverpool is gearing up for a new season with a new manager and potential new signings. However, with many young players making their debuts last season, the squad numbers are running out. Last summer, the focus was on finding a new defensive midfielder for the team.

Wataru Endo was brought in as a replacement for Fabinho, taking the No. 3 shirt because Thiago was still at the club. Now that Thiago has left, the No. 6 shirt is up for grabs if Liverpool makes a marquee signing for that position.

Another player leaving the club is Joel Matip, but his No. 32 shirt is unlikely to attract much attention from newcomers. The next available numbers in numerical order are 13, 14, 15, and 16. However, there is a possibility that the No. 12 shirt may also become available if goalkeeper Adrian leaves the club.

Adrian announced in May that he intends to return to Spain to play in LaLiga. However, there have been reports of a new contract offer from Liverpool since then.

Aside from these potential changes, there are two other squad numbers that could become available. No. 62 currently belongs to Caoimhin Kelleher, who has expressed a desire to leave in order to become a first-choice goalkeeper at a top club. No. 72 belongs to Sepp van den Berg, who has been out on loan for the past three and a half years. Brentford and Southampton are reportedly interested in him, with Liverpool valuing him at £20 million.

Looking at the squad numbers confirmed for next season, Alisson retains the No. 1 shirt, Joe Gomez has No. 2, and Wataru Endo has No. 3. Virgil van Dijk will wear No. 4, and new signing Ibrahima Konate takes No. 5. The No. 6 shirt is currently vacant.

Luis Diaz has been assigned No. 7, while Dominik Szoboszlai will wear No. 8. Darwin Nunez takes No. 9, and Alexis Mac Allister is given No. 10. Mohamed Salah retains his No. 11 shirt, and Adrian currently has No. 12. The numbers 13, 14, 15, and 16 are still available.

Curtis Jones has been assigned No. 17, Cody Gakpo has No. 18, and Harvey Elliott takes No. 19. Diogo Jota retains No. 20, and Kostas Tsimikas has No. 21. Calvin Ramsay is given No. 22, and the No. 23 shirt is currently vacant. Luke Chambers has No. 24, and No. 25 is available.

Andy Robertson retains his No. 26 shirt, and the numbers 27 and 28 are currently vacant. Fabio Carvalho takes No. 28, while Ryan Gravenberch has No. 38, Bobby Clark has No. 42, Stefan Bajcetic has No. 43, Rhys Williams has No. 46, and Nat Phillips has No. 47.

Calum Scanlon takes No. 48, Kaide Gordon has No. 49, and Ben Doak has No. 50. The numbers 53, 62, and 63 are currently vacant. Trent Alexander-Arnold retains his No. 66 shirt, Lewis Koumas has No. 67, and Sepp van den Berg currently has No. 72.

Jayden Danns takes No. 76, Jarell Quansah has No. 78, Tyler Morton takes No. 80, Conor Bradley has No. 84, Harvey Blair takes No. 86, Luke Chambers has No. 88, Billy Koumetio has No. 89, Harvey Davies takes No. 95, Marcelo Pitaluga has No. 97, and Trey Nyoni takes No. 98.
