Liverpool Rejects Al Ittihad’s Offer for Mohamed Salah

Liverpool have rejected Al Ittihad’s opening offer for Mohamed Salah. The Saudi Arabia Pro League club’s first official bid was, according to The Athletic, well in excess of £100million, plus significant add-ons, but was instantly rebuffed Liverpool director Mike Gordon on Thursday night.

The Reds have made it clear that they have no intention of selling their star forward, and are not interested in any offers for the Egyptian international. This is despite reports that the club had been in talks with Al Ittihad over a potential transfer.

Liverpool’s stance on Salah has been consistent throughout his time at the club, and they have repeatedly stated that he is not for sale at any price. This is a testament to the club’s commitment to keeping their best players, and it is clear that they view Salah as an integral part of their team.

The Reds have been in the market for a new forward this summer, but have been unable to find a suitable replacement for Salah. This is partly due to the fact that he is one of the best players in the world, and it would be difficult to find someone of his calibre.

Salah has been a key player for Liverpool since joining from Roma in 2017, and has scored an impressive 91 goals in 152 appearances for the club. He has also won a number of individual awards, including the Premier League Golden Boot in 2018/19 and 2019/20.

The Egyptian international has also been instrumental in helping Liverpool win the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League title in 2020/21. His form has been so impressive that he was named the PFA Player of the Year in 2018/19, and was also shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or in 2019.

It is clear that Liverpool are determined to keep hold of their star forward, and it seems unlikely that Al Ittihad will be able to persuade them to part with him. The Reds are determined to build on their recent success, and they know that Salah is an integral part of their plans for the future.

The club will now turn their attention to other transfer targets, as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season. They have already signed a number of players this summer, including Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig and Ozan Kabak from Schalke 04.

Liverpool are also reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, and are said to be close to agreeing a deal for the Spanish international. The Reds are looking to add more quality to their midfield, and Thiago could be the perfect addition to Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Overall, it seems that Liverpool are not willing to part with Mohamed Salah at any cost. The Reds are determined to keep hold of their star forward, and have made it clear that he is not for sale. They are now looking to strengthen other areas of their squad, as they look to build on their recent success.
