Liverpool are said to still be targeting Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount this summer, despite growing links to Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister. According to football.london, the Reds are well-placed to beat Chelsea to the signature of Mac Allister, but this will not impact their attempts to sign Mount. Chelsea journalist Bobby Vincent has revealed that Liverpool are the “clear front-runners” to land the Argentinian, and that their efforts to sign him have lessened. Meanwhile, talks over a new deal at Chelsea for Mount are stalling, with the Blues looking to recoup around £70 million for the 24-year-old. Jurgen Klopp is looking to bolster his midfield this summer and other names such as Ryan Gravenberch and Manuel Ugarte have been linked with Liverpool. It appears that both Mac Allister and Mount are on the list of targets for the Reds.
