# Liverpool Put in Top Performance to Beat Aston Villa 3-0
Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp was delighted with his team’s “top performance” as they beat Aston Villa 3-0 at Anfield on Sunday. Mohamed Salah scored the opener before two late goals from Sadio Mane and Curtis Jones sealed the victory for the Reds.
## Salah Opens the Scoring
Liverpool started the game brightly, with Salah opening the scoring in the 15th minute. The Egyptian forward latched onto a through ball from Jordan Henderson and fired a low shot past Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
The Reds continued to dominate the game and created several chances, but were unable to find a second goal before half-time.
## Mane and Jones Seal the Win
In the second half, Liverpool continued to press forward and eventually doubled their lead in the 81st minute. Mane was on hand to tap in a rebound after Martinez had saved Roberto Firmino’s effort.
The Reds sealed the win in the 90th minute when Jones fired home a low shot from outside the box. The goal capped off a dominant performance from Liverpool, who moved up to third in the Premier League table.
## Klopp Delighted with Performance
After the game, Klopp praised his side’s performance and said he was pleased with the way his new-look team had adapted to the game.
“It was a top performance from us,” he said. “We controlled the game from start to finish and created lots of chances. We defended well and kept a clean sheet, which is always pleasing.”
Klopp also praised Salah for his performance and said he was delighted to see him back on the scoresheet. “It was great to see Mo get his goal,” he said. “He’s been in great form lately and it was good to see him get his reward.”
