Liverpool left-back Owen Beck is attracting interest from multiple clubs as he looks set to leave the club in the near future. At least seven clubs from four different countries have shown interest in signing the 22-year-old. Beck was notably absent from Liverpool’s recent pre-season friendlies against Sevilla and Las Palmas, indicating that a transfer could be on the cards.

It has been widely reported that Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers have been keeping tabs on Beck. Additionally, clubs from Germany and the Netherlands are said to be monitoring his situation. Championship side QPR is currently leading the chase for a temporary deal, according to James Pearce of The Athletic.

However, QPR is not the only club from England’s second tier interested in signing Beck. Middlesbrough and Leeds have also been linked to the young left-back. Despite missing the recent friendlies due to illness, it is expected that Beck’s future will be resolved soon.

Liverpool is keen for Beck to sign a new contract before leaving on loan. The club values the academy graduate at around £3 million, indicating their belief in his potential. The departure of Luke Chambers on loan to Wigan and the interest in Calum Scanlon further highlight the need for reinforcements in the left-back position.

Andy Robertson is expected to be Liverpool’s first-choice left-back when fully fit. However, Kostas Tsimikas has impressed in pre-season, suggesting that he could provide strong competition. With limited opportunities for game time at Liverpool, another short-term loan move would benefit Beck’s development.

Last season, Beck spent the majority of his time on loan at Dundee, where he made 28 appearances, scoring two goals and providing four assists. He briefly returned to Liverpool in January before heading back to Dundee.

Overall, it seems likely that Owen Beck will be leaving Liverpool in the near future, with several clubs interested in securing his services. A loan move appears to be the most probable outcome, allowing Beck to gain valuable experience and continue his development as a left-back.
