Jurgen Klopp has revealed key midfielders Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho are ready to face Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

The two starting eleven regulars were both seen as doubts after picking up injuries, but have now trained as normal.

The Liverpool boss said: “Mood is good, really excited. Looks good for both Thiago and Fab.

“Thiago trained yesterday with the team and today. Fabinho trained normally. We’ll go from there.”

Former Real Madrid man Fabinho hasn’t featured since a hamstring injury suffered against Aston Villa on May 10, but now looks set to slot back into defensive midfield.

Meanwhile, Thiago, who has been one of the Reds’ stand-out players during their run-in hobbled off against Wolves in their Premier League finale.

It was later revealed the Spanish international had suffered a calf strain, putting his spot in the final in doubt, but Klopp revealed the good news in his pre-match press conference.

The news means departing big-game specialist Divock Origi will be the Reds only certain absentee before he heads to AC Milan.

Madrid similarly boast a near fully-fit squad, with defender David Alaba the only doubt after missing their LaLiga finale, but he has since returned to training.
