Liverpool FC vs Brentford: Injury & Squad News

Date:

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have the opportunity to make it six league wins in a row when they host Brentford at Anfield on Saturday. However, the Reds have a couple of players in doubt for the match, with five already ruled out. Diogo Jota is one of the players in doubt due to a lingering rib issue, but he has come off the bench in the last two matches and could do so again if Liverpool decide to play it safe. Jordan Henderson is another player in doubt, as he took a hit during Wednesday’s game and Klopp revealed a scan was required for an unnamed issue which could “rule him out” of the Anfield match. Roberto Firmino is still not ready to return but is expected back in team training next week, while Thiago is out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a hip issue. The available squad for Liverpool vs. Brentford consists of goalkeepers Alisson, Kelleher, and Adrian; defenders Van Dijk, Konate, Matip, Gomez, Williams, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, and Tsimikas; midfielders Fabinho, Henderson*, Jones, Elliott, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Arthur; and forwards Salah, Gakpo, Jota*, Nunez, Diaz, and Carvalho. *Doubtful
