Aston Villa Signs Kosta Nedeljkovic from Red Star Belgrade
Aston Villa has officially announced the signing of 18-year-old full-back Kosta Nedeljkovic from Red Star Belgrade. However, his fellow Serbian player Marko Grujic believes that Nedeljkovic will face challenges in the Premier League.
Nedeljkovic has been loaned back to Red Star for the remainder of the season after joining Villa. He has already gained experience in the Champions League, having faced Manchester City this season. However, he will continue his development in Serbia before moving to Birmingham over the summer.
Grujic, who previously played for Liverpool and now plays for Porto, acknowledges that Nedeljkovic will face difficulties in adapting to the English game. He emphasizes the difference in quality and opponents between Red Star and Aston Villa. While Red Star dominates and plays offensively, Villa’s style of play is different.
Grujic believes that Nedeljkovic will need time to settle down and meet the expectations of both himself and the club. He advises Nedeljkovic to be focused, motivated, and willing to learn from older players when he joins Birmingham.
Grujic also highlights the opportunities for Nedeljkovic to shine at Villa, especially considering their potential participation in European competitions next season. He urges Nedeljkovic to believe in himself, work hard, and make the most of his potential at a big club like Villa.
