Luke Chambers, an 18-year-old Liverpool left-back who joined Kilmarnock on loan in January, has decided to stay with the club for their relegation battle instead of joining England’s Under-20 World Cup campaign. Chambers asked to be excluded from Ian Foster’s squad for the tournament in Argentina, which starts on Saturday. He expressed his gratitude to Kilmarnock for what they have done for him and said he could never walk out on them when they have three games left. Chambers believes that the team’s belief has been lifted after their 2-0 win over Livingston last weekend and is confident that they can win against St Johnstone at Rugby Park on Saturday. He has developed a strong connection with the club and has learned a lot since joining them. He does not regret his decision and is looking forward to future opportunities with England.
