TURKISH giants Galatasaray are the frontrunners to sign Liverpool defender Nat Phillips, according to reports.
Phillips has struggled for chances under Jurgen Klopp this season and has made just two starts.
Those were against Crystal Palace in August when the Reds were short of centre-backs and the Carabao Cup tie with Derby.
As a result, he could leave Anfield before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
And The Athletic claim that Galatasaray, who are seven points clear at the top of the Turkish Super Lig table, are interested.
The Istanbul giants are said to be in pole position with talks currently ongoing.
Three options are being considered with a loan, a loan with an option to buy and a permanent deal all under discussion.
Liverpool value Phillips at £10m.
The defender is also attracting interest from Germany, but he’s said to be open to signing for Galatasaray.
Phillips has made just a handful of appearance for the first-team in the last couple of years.
