Liverpool to Face Norwich City or Bristol Rovers in FA Cup Fourth Round
Liverpool has been drawn to play either Norwich City or Bristol Rovers in the upcoming FA Cup fourth round. The draw took place on Monday night after Liverpool’s impressive 2-0 victory over Arsenal, despite having several key players unavailable.
Norwich, who currently plays in the Championship, drew 1-1 with League One side Bristol Rovers in their third round tie, necessitating a replay next week. The fourth round fixture will be held at Anfield on the weekend of January 27/28, with the exact date to be confirmed later this week after TV selections have been made.
This match comes just a few days after Liverpool’s League Cup semi-final second leg against Fulham on January 24 and before their clash with Chelsea at Anfield on January 31. It will be a busy week for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who are already playing their 34th game of the season and aiming for another quadruple-chasing campaign.
Liverpool’s last encounter with Bristol Rovers was over 30 years ago in the fourth round of the FA Cup in 1992. The last game against Norwich was also in the FA Cup, in the fifth round in 2022, which Liverpool went on to win.
In other fixtures, Manchester City will face Tottenham, Chelsea will take on Aston Villa, and Fulham will host Newcastle.
