Man City U18s Dominate Liverpool U18s with 3-0 Victory

December 2, 2023

Man City’s U18 team showcased their dominance on Saturday as they secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Liverpool’s U18 side. This defeat marks Liverpool’s third loss of the season in the U18 Premier League.

First Half: Mukasa Opens the Scoring

Man City started the game strongly, with Farid Alfa-Ruprecht testing Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Kornel Misciur, multiple times within the first half-hour. Man City also had a goal disallowed during this period. However, they didn’t have to wait long to break the deadlock, as Divine Mukasa scored a well-worked goal from close range to give Man City the lead.

The first half was dominated by Man City, and Liverpool was fortunate to only be trailing by one goal at halftime.

Second Half: Harrison Secures Victory for Man City

The second half continued in a similar fashion, with Alfie Harrison coming close to doubling Man City’s lead. He eventually found the back of the net, side-footing the ball between Misciur’s legs after a purposeful run down the left flank.

Liverpool fought hard to find a way back into the game but could only create a few half-chances during their periods of pressure. In the dying seconds of the match, Harrison scored his second goal to seal the victory for Man City.

Impressive Performance by Man City

Man City displayed their quality throughout the game, with calm and composed finishes from Mukasa and Harrison. This victory puts Man City in a strong position in the U18 Premier League.
