Leicester City’s chairman, Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, has pledged that the club will do everything in its power to secure promotion back to the Premier League. The Foxes suffered a miserable season, finishing in the bottom three and conceding the third-highest number of goals in the league. Despite winning the Premier League in 2016 and the FA Cup in 2021, Leicester’s fortunes have declined sharply, with the club struggling to recover from a poor start to the season and Brendan Rodgers being sacked earlier in the campaign. The arrival of Dean Smith as manager has also failed to turn things around.
In a statement released on Leicester’s website, Srivaddhanaprabha acknowledged that relegation was a consequence of the team’s performances over the course of the season but expressed his determination to learn from the experience and come back stronger. He also thanked fans for their support and promised that the club would work collaboratively to secure a return to the top tier.
Leicester are expected to lose some key players in the coming months, including James Maddison, Youri Tielemans, and Caglar Soyuncu, and may struggle to sign top targets due to the financial repercussions of relegation. However, Srivaddhanaprabha remains committed to investing in the club and ensuring its success.
