The two Scousers, Curtis Jones and Trent Alexander-Arnold, stole the show as they each scored a goal, keeping the valuable momentum that has built up and putting the Reds just a point behind both Man United and Newcastle having played one game more, keeping slim hopes of Champions League qualification for next season alive. Roberto Firmino was not in the matchday squad but still felt the love from the travelling Kop on Monday night, as a 15-minute rendition of “Si Senor” was only brought to an end by Alexander-Arnold’s glorious second half strike and the Brazilian rightly lapped up the adulation after the final whistle. Alisson Becker also impressed with his complete goalkeeping performance, making a series of big saves throughout the game. Jurgen Klopp showed his appreciation for the incredible away support shown after the final whistle with some post-match fist pumps. The two Scousers combined to potentially consign Leicester to Championship football next season, making the three points that little bit sweeter.
