On April 17, 2023, Liverpool cruised to an emphatic 6-1 win against Leeds at Elland Road in the Premier League. Goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah (2), Diogo Jota (2), and Darwin Nunez sealed the victory for the Reds. Jota ended his year-long drought with two quickfire goals and Roberto Firmino nearly fluked a cross into the top corner against his former club. Manager Jurgen Klopp was pleased with the result, which keeps Liverpool’s slim hopes of finishing in the top four alive.
