LeBron James Prioritizes Watching Son Bronny Play for USC Instead of Celebrating Lakers Win
LeBron James wasted no time celebrating the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. Instead, he hurried to the locker room at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles to catch his son Bronny playing in USC’s game against Arizona.
While answering questions from reporters in the locker room following the Lakers’ 127-110 win, LeBron appeared distracted by the broadcast of the Trojans’ game. He punctuated his answers with calls to the screen like “pull it,” “shoot it,” and “good pass.”
Despite his distraction, LeBron had an impressive performance, finishing with 25 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. D’Angelo Russell led the team with 29 points, followed by Anthony Davis with 28 points. The Lakers’ victory improved their record to 21-21.
Bronny, a freshman, had one of his best games of the season, contributing 11 points, six assists, and five rebounds. In his first collegiate game since suffering cardiac arrest in July, he made his debut in an overtime loss to Long Beach State last month, with LeBron sitting courtside.
Unfortunately, USC fell to Arizona with a score of 82-67. Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant was also present at the game in Tucson, Arizona.
LeBron will have the opportunity to watch USC’s next game without any scheduling conflicts. USC will face Arizona State on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET in Tempe, Arizona. Meanwhile, the Lakers will host the Brooklyn Nets on Friday at 10:30 p.m. ET, followed by a game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday at 10 p.m. ET.
In conclusion, LeBron James prioritized supporting his son’s college basketball game over celebrating the Lakers’ victory. His dedication to family and basketball shines through in his actions.
