Kylian Mbappe: Arsenal Preferred Destination if He Chooses Premier League
Kylian Mbappe is set to be on the move next summer, and reports suggest that he has a shock preference should he choose the Premier League as his next destination. The heir apparent to the throne occupied by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for so long is set to change clubs next summer, and is currently involved in a contract stand-off with Paris Saint-Germain.
Real Madrid are intent on signing Mbappe, and have no plans to add anyone else to their squad following the addition of former Stoke City flop Joselu. However, reports have suggested that Liverpool have tabled a £200million offer for the French international.
According to the Independent, those claims are wide of the mark, and if Mbappe does move to England, Arsenal would be his No.1 choice. The 22-year-old is said to have noted the rapid progress Mikel Arteta has made in regenerating a sleeping giant while he is attracted to the aim of winning the club’s first Premier League title in two decades.
PSG remain adamant that they will be forced to sell Mbappe this summer if he is not prepared to pen a contract extension. Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said: ‘We want Kylian to stay, but if he wants to stay, we want him to sign a new contract. We don’t want to let the best player in the world go for free, it’s impossible. PSG is a French club, it’s his city, and he’s already said he doesn’t want to leave for free.’
The future of Kylian Mbappe is one of the most talked about topics in football right now, and it looks like Arsenal could be his preferred destination should he choose the Premier League as his next move. With Mikel Arteta at the helm, Arsenal have shown signs of improvement this season and could be an attractive proposition for Mbappe.
The Gunners will need to act fast if they are to secure the services of Mbappe, with Real Madrid and Liverpool both interested in signing the 22-year-old. It remains to be seen how this transfer saga will unfold, but one thing is for certain – Mbappe’s next move will be one of the biggest stories in football next summer.
