# Burnley Boss Vincent Kompany Remains Calm Despite Winless Run
Vincent Kompany, the Burnley boss, has said he is “very calm” despite his team’s winless Premier League run extending to five games after their 1-0 defeat by Manchester United. The Clarets have now gone five games without a win in the league, but Kompany is confident they can turn things around.
## Burnley’s Recent Form
Burnley have had a difficult start to the season, with just one win from their opening seven games. They have drawn three and lost three, leaving them in 16th place in the table. Their last win came against Sheffield United in August, but since then they have been unable to pick up a victory.
Their latest defeat came at the hands of Manchester United, who won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Marcus Rashford. The Clarets had chances to score, but were unable to take them and were ultimately beaten by the Red Devils.
## Kompany Remains Calm Despite Poor Run
Despite the poor run of form, Kompany remains confident that his side can turn things around. He said: “I am very calm. We have been in this situation before and we know what it takes to get out of it. We just need to keep working hard and believe in ourselves.”
The Burnley boss also praised his side’s performance against Manchester United, saying: “I thought we played well and created some good chances. We just weren’t able to take them and that was the difference in the end.”
## Looking Ahead
Burnley will be looking to get back to winning ways when they face Southampton on Saturday. The Saints are currently in ninth place in the table and have won two of their last three games. It will be a tough test for the Clarets, but Kompany is confident they can get a result.
He said: “We know it will be a difficult game but we are confident we can get a result. We just need to keep believing in ourselves and keep working hard.”
