Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, does not think his two-match touchline ban and £75,000 fine for comments about referee Paul Tierney will have a negative impact on his team’s performance. He had already served a touchline ban earlier in the season when Liverpool beat Southampton 3-1 in November from the stand. Klopp expressed his curiosity as to where the fine money goes, and if it is for a good cause, he is more than happy to pay it. Despite the ban, Klopp believes his team will still perform well due to their current seven-game winning streak. He will still be able to join the team for a post-match lap of honour for their final home game and will be in contact with Vitor Matos and Pep Lijnders to discuss substitutions. Unfortunately, Darwin Nunez will not be available for the game due to an inflammation of a tendon at the toe.
