Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Darwin Nunez is back fit after missing two games with a toe injury. However, he also revealed two new fitness issues concerning Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate. Klopp stated that Nunez had trained fully the day before, but Ibou was ill and Robertson felt something in his groin which had been scanned and found to be fine. Klopp also noted that the long-term absentees would still be out. With Man United’s 4-1 win over Chelsea on Thursday, there is nothing riding on Sunday’s clash at St Mary’s beyond three points and momentum for the summer. Therefore, Klopp suggested that changes would be made to the side to get fresh legs on the pitch and players who want to show something. He concluded by saying that he would have a brief conversation with the doctor before making any decisions.
